A mile down a single track farm lane that goes nowhere, sits a tiny 17th Century country pub, known to those hereabouts as “The Jockey”. It is an old fashioned house with old fashioned hours and old fashioned values. You can see the pub and our garden on these pages. The Menu is huge - that is because we keep trying to take things off it but people ask for those meals anyhow! A diverse Menu for a diverse Clientele, at real value for money prices. All our food is prepared and cooked to order, which sometimes means there can be a wait - we hope that relaxing and enjoying the ambience makes it worthwhile. We have a great range of hot and cold beverages - both alcoholic and not, and crisps, nuts, sweets and snacks for those who just want a nibble to go with their pint. We are a couple of miles from the beautiful Longleat House and we can hear the lions and wolves at the Safari Park from our garden. There are plenty of walks, bike and horse rides all around us - but you might just prefer to sit and read and listen to the birdsong.
